They Said it Couldn't Be Done...

“It’s just been CRAZY watching God impact thousands of lives…”

It’s the conversation I’ve had countless times over the last seven years, in front of crowds and in one-on-one meetings in the United States.

Usually at this spot I’ve caught myself thinking that I probably sound like I’m lying or embellishing, but honestly, I’m not.

“We’re watching God bring freedom to so many people right in front of us - what a privilege to experience…”

And then comes the response - the phrase that naturally bubbles up from the hearts of so many of my US brothers and sisters.

“Wow… I wish God would move like that in America.”

After years of experiencing the dire news reports, the harsh political commentary, and the emotionally charged public battles of opinion on social media, its easy to believe that our country has slipped into a hopeless place - where God isn’t welcome and redemption is a distant memory.

But we’re here to tell you that isn’t the case.

This week we watched more than 360 young people gather in Pella, Iowa for the annual Fellowship of Christian Athletes sports camp.

Tremendously talented athletes from all walks of life gathered for a week to learn from high-level coaches and experts - these hundreds of young people with unique struggles, perspectives, and pre-conceived ideas met daily to worship and examine the reality of what it means to have a relationship with God.

And at the end of the week, many of these young people stood to make a public declaration of their dependence, their faith, and their commitment to Jesus Christ.

And then they left the camp with a plan to “walk it out” all over the Midwestern United States.

God is moving in the USA.

He is moving in the Middle East.

And He is moving all across the globe, drawing people - young and old - to Himself.

Because He LOVES them, and that is what love does.

And THIS, friends, is why we do what we do.
